A real time clock & calendar is also battery protected. Configuration is via the front panel buttons using the LCD display and a simple menu system or an optional PC program. The front panel buttons can be disabled and enabled by the user to prevent unauthorised access. The recorded data is stored as an ASCII (CSV) file which is compatible with most spreadsheet programs (e.g. Excel ). This data is transferred to the PC via the serial (RS232) interface. Tracker 3000 as a Chart Recorder Connecting a dot matrix printer to the parallel printer port on the Tracker 3000 produces a chart recorder printout in real time. The 3000 prints its own graticule so standard printing paper can be used. The software runs in a DOS console on windows 3.x, 9x, and NT. Configuration files can be stored for future use and down loaded via the RS232 serial interface. The recorded data can be "harvested" in one down load or can be sent to the PC in "real time" as long as it is connected. ALTAIR 32 real time display and data acquisition software The Tracker 3000 can be interfaced with ALTAIR 32 data acquisition software, which allows real time animated graphics, graphs and trends display. ALTAIR 32 runs on 32 bit WINDOWS operating systems (e.g. 95, 98 and NT) and has extensive data logging and historical data retrieval facilities. Up to 8 Tracker 3000 data loggers can be connected to a PC running ALTAIR, allowing up to 128 analogue channels and 24 digital inputs, plus over 100 maths derived channels to be recorded.
