Global Water Insertion Flow Meter (IF200) Global Water Insertion Flow Meter (IF200) Measure and Totalize Flows in Full Pipes Accurate flow measurement for billing and water management. Flow computer displays flow and total for all diameters and units. Easily installed and adapted to all pipe diameters. Debris shedding design with turbo-prop. Electronic sensor pickup. Description The IF200 Insertion Flow Meter is a reliable and accurate instrument for monitoring instantaneous and total flows in full pipes of 2" to 30" diameters. The debris shedding turbo prop design makes the IF200 ideal for irrigation water, well water, process water or other non-clean applications. The battery powered computer displays current flow rate and total flow in any engineering units and for all pipe diameters. Installation is simple and the Insertion Flow Meter can easily be moved from site to site. Flow Computer The Flow Computer is easily calibrated for all pipe diameters and any flow units including gpm, cfs, m3/sec and acre feet. Units and diameters can be easily changed in the field. The Flow Computer runs for at least two years on its internal batteries. The engineering units for instantaneous and total flows and scaling for pipe diameter are entered in with a simple two-button system using the lookup table in the owner's manual. Setup takes less than 5 minutes. Turbo-Prop The Turbo-Prop is a positive displacement sensor which is highly accurate over a wide range of flow rates. The propeller rotates freely on its brass bearting shaft. The electronic pickup sensor means that there are no mechanical gear systems or cables to cause drag or failure. The IF200 is much more accurate than paddle wheel type sensors which are not linear at low and high water velocities. Debris-Shedding Design The unique debris-shedding bar guides debris away from the Turbo-Prop. In addition, the Turbo-Prop trails the shedding bar so debris that comes off the shedding bar slips past the Turbo-Prop.
