Global Water - Global Weather Station WE800 Global Water - Global Weather Station WE800 Global Water's Weather Station in the Field SHOWN ABOVE Datalogging, Telemetry, Real-Time Display, Graphs, Charts, Reports Designed for general meteorologic applications, the Global Weather Station is a rugged and low-cost solution to a variety of weather monitoring requirements: Agriculture Education Environmental Studies Landfills Reclamation Wastewater Facilities Water Budget Analysis Water Conservation Solar Shield A ventillated sun shield, WE770, with high reflectiveness, low heat retention and low thermoconductivity is provided as protection for the Temperature and Humidity sensors. Tripod and Mounting Global Water's Weather Station includes full assembly on a sturdy and durable frame that can be mounted onto a base or onto the WE830 Tripod Stand for upright installation. The unit is designed for durability and endurance in harsh conditions. Battery A 12VDC 7A-H rechargeable battery is included with the Global Weather Station for use in remote applications. This battery can be used in conjunction with solar panels (SB102) for reliable continuous use. Software The Global Weather Station's datalogger, the Global Logger III, includes user-friendly menu-driven/multiple choice LS4 Software. The software is easy to learn and easy to use. Program features include: downloading parameters (time, date, and site number and name) to the logger; specifying which channels to record, sensor warm-up time, and recording interval; and a Monitor mode that allows real-time readings. In addition, maximums, minimums, and averages can be recorded, and sensors can be set to read in any engineering units. Advanced features also include setting the "zero" and "span" for each sensor, and providing curve fitting for linearizing sensors or for converting data automatically (for example, from flow to depth). Stored data is easy to collect for producing tabular and graphical reports. Stored files can be transferred to all common spreadsheets and data bases, including Lotus, Excel and DBase. Installation Proper siting for weather systems is important to ensure accurate readings. For example, wind sensors should not be installed too close to a building, as turbulence created by the building can interfere with readings. The Solar Radiation sensor should be installed in direct sunlight on a level surface (bubble level and leveling screws included with purchase). The Global Weather Station (WE800) comes with a stainless steel frame that can be mounted onto a base. A tripod stand (WE830) can also be purcahased to hold the Weather Station frame upright.
