Global Water Rain Gauge (RG600) Global Water Rain Gauge (RG600) Ideal for: Stormwater Runoff Rainfall Studies Soil Moisture Studies Process Control Telemetry The Global Rain Gauge is a durable weather instrument for monitoring rain rate and total rainfall. With minimal care it will provide many years of services. It was designed by the National Weather Service to provide a reliable, low-cost tipping bucket rain assessment. Its simplicity of design assures trouble-free operation, yet provides accurate rainfall measurements. The unit has an 8" orifice and is shipped complete with mounting brackets and 50' of two-conductor cable. The tipping bucket mechanism activates a sealed reed switch that produces a contact closure for each 0.01", 0.2 mm or 1 mm of rainfall.
