Scott Instruments TLV Sniffer Combust Gas Survey & Arson Invest Features The TVL Sniffer is an ultra-sensitive combustible gas indicator designed to detect parts per million (PPM) concentrations of most types of flammable liquid vapors and gases. The TLV Sniffer is a key component of arson investigation when time is of the utmost importance. By searching the debris after a fire has been completely extinguished, a determination of the cause of the fire can be made when an accelerant is found among the burned remains. By sampling suspected areas, such as liquid containers (cans, bottles, etc.), carpets, drapes flooring, etc., the TLV instrument can sniff out the residue of combustible substances used to enhance or speed up ignition. The TLV Sniffer three combustible ranges are; 0 to 100ppm, 0 to 1000ppm and 0 to 10,000ppm. The TLV Sniffer is equipped with an internal pump and is powered up to 8 hours of continuous operation by 6 D - Cell nickel cadmium batteries. Ultr Ultra-sensitive portable combustible gas detector .
