 Features For use on energized circuits, the Current Tracer preforms without the need to interrupt power and can locate breakers, neutral and ground lines, shorts and ground faults and locate and trace wires in floors, walls, conduit, computer cables and other cables. The Current Tracer operates on the theory of High Audible Frequency load signals. The Current Tracers use a load signal generator (referred to as a transmitter) which turns a load on and off at the rate of 6.25KHz. The change in current, though very small (200mA peak), can be measured anywhere along the path of the circuit that the transmitter is on and is picked up by the specially tuned probe. NOTE: Will not interfere with sensitive electronic equipment.
