Amprobe Models PAV2X, PAV3X and PAV4X


Features

AMPROBE voltage recorders are designed to monitor voltage conditions over a wide variety of ranges. Models PAV2X, PAV3X and PAV4X are expanded scale recorders. Because their scales do not start at zero, they provide a high degree of readability.

One RAL-4 adaptor clip lead (RAL-4E for 220VAC, 50Hz models) is supplied. Panel-mount "F" models are supplied with screw terminals on the back of the instrument.

The ranges are switched by means of a slideswitch located on the input panel. Model PAV4X is only available calibrate for 50Hz and has a 220 VAC 50Hz drive motor.

Recording Volt/Ammeters
AMPROBE combination volt/ammeters provide the extra flexibility of monitoring either AC voltage or
current (not at the same time however). Current is monitored by simply clamping the split-core current transducer around the conductor in which the current is to be measured. No need to interrupt service.

All models, except the PAVA87, have expanded-scale voltmeter ranges. Because these scales do not start at zero, they provide a high degree of readability.

All models are supplied with one power cord, one voltage meter cord, one clamp-on current transducer, one roll of chart paper, and one RAL-4 Adaptor Clip lead (Model RAL-4E for 220 VAC 50Hz models).

Changing voltage ranges is accomplished by means of a switch located the recorder itself. For all models the current range switch is located in the base of the current transducer.

Recording Ammeters

AMPROBE recording ammeters utilize the split core transformer principle. The clamp-on transducer is simply clamped around the conductor in which the current is to be measured. No need to interrupt service. All models
are single phase units.

All models are supplied with one power cord and one clamp-on current transducer.

Changing current ranges is accomplished by means of a switch. On the models PAA81 and PAA82 the switch is located in the base of the current transducer. On the PAA1500 the switch is located on the input panel.



Accuracy: Based on 60Hz sinusoidal waveforms. PAA81 and PAA82 ±3% F.S. using transducer supplied with recorder; ±5% F.S. if using transducer other than supplied.
PF1500; ±4% F.S. using transducer supplied with recorder. Other transducers cannot be used without special calibration.

NOTE: All recorders on this page are available in three versions: Take-up, designated by a ‘-T’ suffix or Non-Take-Up in either of two factory-set chart speeds designated by a ‘-1’ for 1"/hr., chart speed or ‘-12’ for 12"/hr. chart speed.

The Take-Up models have three adjustable chart speeds: 1,12, 24 inches/hr. and will accept a 60 foot roll of chart paper (-6’ suffix added to chart number).

The imprint rate for the Take-Up models is once every 2.5 seconds. For the Non-Take-Up models, it is once every 60 seconds for the ‘-1’ and once every 5 seconds for the ‘-12’.
